Terry has enjoyed a lifelong participation in all sports, but playing football up through college held most of his attention. Mountain climbing and general fitness are his current passions. As a graphic artist Terry was introduced to professional bodybuilding in 1982 at Weider Publishing, working on Shape and Muscle & Fitness magazines. In 1983, Joe Weider asked him to join forces with editor/photographer Bill Dobbins to create a new magazine called Flex.  Terry was the art director at Flex until the December 1986 issue.  After several years of a successful advertising design consulting business, he began work with Iron Man magazine as art director in 1997.
