"Strength & Conditioning Program Development for BJJ and MMA Athletes"
Presented by Joe Mullings and Dr. Tom Deters
Strength and Endurance are becoming bigger factors for success in combat athletes, but all too often the "strength and conditioning" programs are one-size-fits-all and or sub-optimal at best. Pure strength training, aerobic conditioning and anaerobic conditioning must all be addressed individually and in cycles as athletes prepare for upcoming events or overall improvement. These factors will be presented individually and in terms of developing an overall program to make combat athletes be able to fight harder, longer with more strength and more success.
Joe Mullings is the owner of The Armory BJJ / MMA Academy. He has been the strength & conditioning coach for UFC fighters Edson Barboza, Luiz Cane, Kurt Pellegrino, Hermes Franca, Matt Wiman, as well as numerous StrikeForce and Bellator fighters.
