Dr. Catherine Huang-Begovic has spent her life achieving excellence. Prior to attending Harvard University for college, she scored a perfect score on her SAT's and was invited to the White House twice to meet President Clinton for awards in academic achievement and scientific research.
She graduated from Harvard University with Honors in Molecular and Cellular Biology. From there, she was awarded her medical degree from UCLA. At UCLA, Dr. Huang-Begovic took a special interest in stem cells found in fat and fat injections, publishing many research papers in plastic surgery and scientific journals on the topic. Upon completion of her medical degree, Dr. Huang-Begovic was selected into the highly-competitive Head and Neck Surgery training program at UCLA performing advanced Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery for 6 years. During that time, Dr. Huang-Begovic extensively researched anti-aging skin products and became an expert in the field, speaking at national conferences and publishing her findings in the prestigious Aesthetic Surgery Journal. She then completed a second surgery training program in Plastic Surgery at UCLA. The UCLA plastic surgery training program has been rated one of the top training programs in the country in all areas of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery.
However, what makes Dr. Huang-Begovic unique as a plastic surgeon is that she has an eye for beauty and perfection. Her patients feel that she truly understands what they want. Dr. Huang-Begovic studied art as a child and developed that into a talent in multiple artistic mediums of acrylic, charcoal, and sculpture. As a published fashion, glamour and fitness model, Dr. Huang-Begovic can appreciate beauty from a woman's perspective. Dr. Huang-Begovic is also a personal trainer and nutritional consultant and on the advisory board and host of the Beauty Channel.
Dr. Cat Huang-Begovic and her staff are committed to taking the time to understand the individual needs and desires of each patient. Dr. Huang- Begovic approaches each surgery with care and takes pride in the quality of her work. Dr. Catherine Huang-Begovic will take the time to assess each patient's individual situation and help each patient set realistic expectations.
