Odd was crowned the Strongest Man in America at the 1999 AFSA USA Strongman Championship in Las Vegas, NV. Odd was Hawaii's Strongest Man in 2000, 2001,and 2003.
As the senior competitor in most Strongman Competitions, he has not only held is own, but has outpaced competitors half his age. Strongman requires not only superior strength and conditioning, but incredible speed, power, technique, mental alacrity and the ability to concentrate on the task at hand.
Odd has been lifting weights for more than forty years and had competed at a high level in strength athletics, such as powerlifting, Olympic Weightlifting, bodybuilding and American Football.
Odd won the Mr. Norway title in 1970, before many of his current Strongman competitors were even born. |
