Keith's athletic talent was evident as early as high school, where he was a two-sport star in wrestling and football. Keith attended Pierce College in Los Angeles before finishing his studies at New Mexico Highlands University, where he continued to excel at football. Soon afterwards, he pursued a career in professional boxing and kickboxing. It was from this point that Keith fully immersed himself into the world of mixed martial arts.Keith Jardine now lives and trains in Albuquerque, NM under Greg Jackson at Jackson’s Submission Fighting, where holds the level of black belt in the art of Giadojutsu, as well as being an expert in other forms of combat. He trains there along with Diego Sanchez, Nate Marquadt, Joey Villasenor and Rashad Evans, among others.

Jardine also credits world champion trainer Mike Winklejohn for his kickboxing skills. In 2005, Keith was featured as a competitor on Spike TV’s “The Ultimate Fighter 2” show, which led to his career in the UFC. Keith “The Dean of Mean” Jardine, now holds a 13 – 2 – 1 professional record in the UFC.
